About us

Kippax Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS) are one of the leading Societies West Yorkshire. We produce two professional standard productions a year, our pantomime in early January and a musical in April.

We have over 50 members of our society ranging in age from 16 to 80+ and all play an active role in helping to keep the society going.

The society first started in 1959 and our first major musical was Desert Song in 1963, since then the society has grown stronger in experience and financial stability, helping us to improve the professionalism of our productions.

Over the Years we have performed at different venues including Great Preston Village Hall, Kippax St Mary's Hall, Castleford Civic Centre and The Phoenix Theatre in Airedale. We are proud to be staging our 2016 musical at Wakefield Theatre Royal.

We are now In rehearsals for our Next Production Jack and The Beanstalk, which we will be performing 9th - 14th January 2018 at Castleford Phoenix Theatre. Click to book Tickets
